Sunday, March the 2nd

Besides going to church, which our father was quick to point out (thanks dad, really informative) today was an eventful fast Sunday, as most are. We spent the morning interviewing with parents, moping around the house, and making brownies. I got a little creative and made a batch of brownies with red food coloring in the brown frosting. This provided for an attractive looking brownie, much like the chocolate donuts made by Dunford Bakeries.
Mom than expressed her wishes for me to make another batch to bring over to the grandparents house that evening, since they will be leaving for Mexico soon. They were going to have everyone over for cookies, even though their furniture was all moved downstairs yesterday by us. In this batch, I added blue food coloring to the frosting, making it look like (for lack of better terms) sludge. Yup, I was proud of my work! Luckily for mom, the sludge-colored frosting had a terrible texture and she was saved by the red batch of brownies that she was able to bring over to grandmas. The only cookies that were there were 3 month old fudge store-brand oreo things. . . and the only families that were over there were Lisa and Lorilee. But we did add more chicken ramen to our food storage, since the grandparents were cleaning out theirs.
Other than that, you'll probably be interested to know that I went on my first "single date" yesterday with Cassie Hess (it was her idea). It was alright, a little bit of a new thing for me, and I didn't think I was allowed to do it. Of course, Mom didn't like it when she found out ("You could've invited a younger sibling!") but Dad was understanding and said to be careful. I doubt Ill be going on many single dates anytime soon. . . this one surprised me. I did learn that with Cassie's parents, Her mom completely controlled the relationships, made all the first moves, and had to fight for the very passive Bro. Hess. This makes me understand why Cassie is so quick to make opportunities for me to join her and do things. Its ironic for me to be passive, especially when it comes to relationship things. But she is just a friend, and I still like another girl anyway.
Other than that, everything else is going fine. My chicken nuggets are done. . . I probably shoulda greased the pan. Oh well, goodnight!
