Its not just me anymore

Yesterday in between sessions of conference, we had the blessing of having Sis. Hernandez come over and bring one of her culinary masterpieces to our family. This time it was a beautifully decorated, three-layer, strawberry and whipped frosting topped, angel food cake. Beautiful decoration on this amazing cake. As I saw her get out of her car, I thought Oh no, here she comes again. I was very excited to see her, but I feel so completely guilty, almost arrogant, to partake of her meticulous culinary dessert. She came to the door and in her happy beaming face said, "Happy Spring Beeshop! Oh, look at your family! How beeg they all are!" What a fantastic lady with an enormous smile and faith in the gospel. She is wonderful.
This last week the final elections came to a close. The red team had 9 out of 10 people make it onto next years council, because they had Kyle Hanson at their head and they did so well. Poor yellow team. This meant that Taylor O. and Hayley both didn't make it. Taylor had been hoping for this for a very long time, so to have it slip out of his grasp just barely was a surprise for him, and not a gentle one. Kyle though of course felt kinda bad after it was over. He didn't run for president for his own glory or purpose, and its really hard for a lot of people to see that. I am very excited for them next year, they are going to do such a good job.
So because of these elections, my week was fairly busy. We made many posters, practiced our dances, etc. I was only able to go to seminary once this week, and I don't think I was ever home from the hours of 2-4 after school. It was the last crazy week for this year's student council.
Anyways, I am now at the 4th out of 5 conference sessions. It has been awesome to see Uchdorf become more bold in his words and take on the mantle of a first presidency member after being in the council for a mere 2 years. Of course, Monson still entertains us with his many stories (including one where he gave us a visual of wiggling his ears). Its starting again so I ought to go watch it. I might not be able to make an entry for next week... Ill be in Hawaii!
